Story By: FLORENCE SPEEDWAY – WALTON, KY – Florence Speedway hosts the ground-pounding, thrilling competition of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday, May 6th for the 37th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial.
A complete show is on tap for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday, May 6th, which includes Qualifying, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the $15,000-to-win main event.
The nation’s elite dirt late models are expected to challenge a strong contingent of local and regional standouts. Florence Speedway’s own Josh Rice will defend his Ralph Latham Memorial title against Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regulars such as Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton, Tim McCreadie, Hudson O’Neal, Ricky Thornton Jr., and many more.
Also racing will be Modifieds in a $1,500 to win Feature event and the Dollar General Crate Late Models in a $1,000 to win program.
The Pit Gates will open at 3:00pm, followed by Main and Back Gates opening at 5:30pm. Hot Laps are set to begin at 7:00pm, followed by qualifying for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, with racing action kicking off at 8:00pm.
Ticket prices in the General Admission area will be $35 for adults (18+) while ages 13-17 will be $20. Children ages 12 and under are admitted for $5 to the General Admission area. A pit pass is $45 for all ages.
