Story By: TOM BOGGIE / ALBANY-SARATOGA SPEEDWAY – MALTA, NY – Four straight days of moderate precipitation created a super-fast racing surface Friday night at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, but a fifth day of rain proved to be too much for the track to handle.
A fast-moving storm saturated the track just before the first green flag of the night was scheduled to fall, forcing promoter Lyle DeVore to cancel the racing card.
The cancellation ended a streak of 20 consecutive nights of racing, dating back to May 27, 2022.
Albany-Saratoga Speedway will return to action on Friday, May 12, with the NAPA Modifieds competing for a $3,000 winner’s payday.
