Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TONY STEWART RACING – BROWNSBURG, IN – It was a rain-shortened weekend in West Memphis, Arkansas, for Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing.
Although Mother Nature ruined any chances for a doubleheader at Riverside International Speedway, Schatz’s Friday performance was strong enough to make up for the weather issue, climbing 12 positions in the Bull Ring Blitz opener to finish just outside of the top-five.
Schatz and his ability to “hard charge” have certainly been synonymous with one another, and in his recent starts at the Dirt Oval @ Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois, Schatz climbed from 15th to sixth and tenth to fourth in consecutive fashion.
Schatz, ace of the Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Ford Performance, Curb Records, Sage Fruit, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, Mobil 1, Hoosier, VP Racing Fuels & Tub ‘O Towels, No. 15 sprint car, finished sixth in his Riverside effort, now with 52 top-ten appearances in 62 World of Outlaws feature starts. The ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion and Fargo, North Dakota, native will now set aim on The Dirt Track at Charlotte, working to conclude the 2024 World of Outlaws campaign on top of the feature podium – on multiple occasions.
Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing and Donny Schatz will continue their 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina, on November 6-9.
