Elite Custom Awards Added To Evergreen Raceway Family Of Businesses

Story By: DINO OBERTO / EVERGREEN RACEWAY – BUTLER TOWNSHIP, PA – Evergreen Raceway owner/promoter Jason Makarewicz has announced the newest venue into his expanding commercial undertakings with the launch of Elite Custom Awards.

Recently Makarewicz acquired the former Printers Edge of Hazle Brook and is rebranding it as Elite Custom Awards.

Printers Edge was the official supplier of trophies and plaques to Evergreen Raceway and many other businesses and sporting teams throughout the Hazleton, Pa., area and beyond.

Aside from Evergreen Raceway and now Elite Custom Awards, Makarewicz also oversees Evergreen Raceway Circle Track Racing Experience and Evergreen Lawn Care.

Printers Edge owner, Joan Dancho, recently retired from the business due to health issues and approached Makarewicz about looking to take over the operations. After negotiating a sale price, a deal was struck and the new name labeled as Elite Custom Awards.

“Joan (Dancho) has been a great friend of ours at Evergreen over the years, not only providing all of our trophies and plaques but she also handled program books and flyers and just about anything else we needed in that line of the business,” said Makarewicz.

“I was happy to be able to work out an agreement with her and keep it going. Joan has built a great customer base that she was very willing to share with me and we’ve already begun to reach out to all of them and inform them of the new ownership change.”

For the time being, Makarewicz will focus on trophies and plaques with the intent to expanding into other aspects that Printers Edge had done within the near future.

“We have a full supply of materials needed to put all types of trophies together and the same goes for plaque designs,” added Makarewicz.

“And I want to assure our customers that we will continue to provide reasonable pricing just as Joan did. That was one of the great things about her was her affordable cost to her customers and we will strive to do the same,” he continued.

“We’ll have a website and Facebook page dedicated to Elite Custom Awards up and running very soon.”
