Story By: NICK GRAZIANO / WORLD OF OUTLAWS – MARYVILLE, TN – Due to the severe thunderstorms, heavy rain and the potential for tornadoes in the Maryville, TN area on Saturday, officials from the World of Outlaws Late Models and Smoky Mountain Speedway have agreed to cancel Saturday’s portion of the World of Outlaws Tennessee Tipoff.
The decision was made after consultation with Precision Weather Service, keeping the best interest of traveling race teams and fans in mind.
Saturday’s race will not be made up. If you purchased a Saturday ticket in advance, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTix.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work for you, you have until April 14 to request a refund by clicking here.
If you purchased a two-day ticket or pit pass at the track Friday, please mail your wristband back to 7575 West Winds Blvd. Suite-D Concord, NC 28027, postmarked by April 14.
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series now turns its attention to the World of Outlaws Battle of at the Crossroads at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, GA, March 21-22.
