Chance Grasty and F&F Racing Net Placerville Speedway Top-5

Story By: PJ PETERSON / F&F RACING – PLACERVILLE, CA – Taking part in the opening event at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night, Chance Grasty and the F&F Racing team were strong all night as the Suisun, CA driver finished fourth in the feature event.

“After struggling with High Limit on Wednesday night in Tulare, CA, it was great to have a really solid run at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night,” Chance Grasty said. Ever since the Silver Cup, the team has been tweaking on some of the issues that hindered our 360ci program and I really think the changes helped a ton.”

30 cars made the trip to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night and Grasty got the night started by timing the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Sierra Single ply backed No. x1 in fifth fastest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Grasty was able to get the jump and take command of the race in the early goings. Able to hang on to the win, Grasty transferred directly into the 25-lap feature event and also solidified a spot in the all-important redraw.

Drawing the vaunted eight pill, Grasty was set to take the green flag from the fourth row on a surface that was still in good shape with a ton of speed in it after the weather that had hit the area in previous days.

As the race came to life, Grasty was able to keep his mount inside the Top-10 as he weathered a couple of early stoppages that slowed the early pace of the feature.

Once the race got going, so did Grasty. Able to race his way forward on the famed bullring, Grasty worked his way into fourth as the race came to a close.

With Ron Stahl’s checkered flag waiving in the Placerville night, Grasty capped the night off with a fourth place finish which marked his second top five of the early season.

“From start to finish on Saturday night we were pretty good, and I think we could have been even better in time trials,” Grasty said. “It was pretty incredible to get back on track after a few rough races. Big thanks to Alan, Tooch, Dan, Terry, Mike, Ryan, and Joe for all of their hard work, and to all of our partenrs for their support.”
