Rain Again Cancels Grandview Speedway’s Saturday Night Events

Story By: JEFFREY AHLUM / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – With significant overnight rain throughout the region, and more rain predicted on and off for the remainder of the day, Grandview Speedway management was left with the difficult decision to cancel the scheduled race events for Saturday night April 26.

The race program was to be the second NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series point race of the season for the T.P. Trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division drivers in the chase for the championships.

With the rain out, it was the third rain cancellation in the first four weeks of the brand new 2025 racing campaign, after rain also claimed the events on April 5 and 12.

Attention will now turn to next week on Saturday, May 3, when racing will be sponsored by PWD Lubricants of Warminster, Pa. and will feature the first three-division show of the year, as the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be joined by the Pro 4 Racing Series Four Cylinder Stock Cars starting at 6:30 pm.

PWD Lubricants has been a family owned business for over 90 years. They carry Kendall, Coastal, Penn Grade 1 and Liqui Moly brands, meeting all of your lubricant needs. You can visit them at pwdlubricants.com or like them on Facebook.

Grandview Speedway management is reminding everyone of a switch to a 6:30 pm start time next week, and for the first several events for the month of May.

Pit gates will open at 3:30 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 4:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 5:30 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 6:30 pm.

Grandstand admission for Adults is $20, Students ages 10-15 with ID are $10, while ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 with a license and $45 without a license.

Fast approaching on the Grandview calendar is the first Thunder on the Hill race program on Tuesday, May 20, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints for the third time in track history.

This event will see the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints in the Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series. The program includes Time Trials, and qualifying events leading up to the 35-lap feature event that pays $20,000 to win and $1500 to start the main event. The program also includes the Alpine Building Supply Vintage Cars in action with two 12-lap feature events.

Advance tickets for the May 20 event are available at TicketHoss.com. Advance ticket holders get to enter the grandstand at 4:30 pm, followed by general admission tickets going on sale and main gates opening at 5 pm. Time trials start at 7 pm, with the show set to start at 7:30 pm. A rain date of Wednesday, May 21 is in place if needed.
