Bayston & CJB Motorsports Consistent Through Attica & Sharon WoO Sprint Swing

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / CJB MOTORSPORTS – CARLISLE, PA – It was a hard-fought, yet consistent weekend through the Buckeye State for Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports, and although the Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based operation is still in the hunt for their first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory of the season, consistency is the next best accomplishment.

Bayston, ace of the TrueTimber Camo, Rothco, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car, finished tenth and seventh in their consistent stretch through Ohio, opening things with a tenth-place score at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 19, followed by a seventh-place outcome at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, May 20. Bayston’s Sharon outcome also featured a five-spot rally, bouncing ahead after starting 12th on the A-Main grid.

The Lebanon, Indiana, native remains seventh in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series driver standings, now with 12 top-ten finishes in 21 Series starts.

“I am surprised, but thankful we got both nights of racing in this weekend. Forecasts were giving us poor to little hope all week, but Attica and Sharon did whatever they had to do to make it all possible,” Bayston expressed. “We were able to race well both nights. Third place finishes during each of our heat races allowed for smooth transitions. We are very close to getting our full package together.”

Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2023 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with another action-packed slate through the Buckeye State, taking over the high banks of Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, May 26-27. Memorial Day weekend will then cap with the Memorial Day Spectacular at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on Monday, May 29.
