Story By: FLORENCE SPEEDWAY – UNION, KY – This Wednesday, May 31st, the Castrol Floracing Night in America makes their Florence Speedway debut as the midweek series comes to the Bluegrass state for a $23,023 to win event. The top names in dirt late model racing are expected to be on hand for this event.
Hudson O’Neal leads the latest Castrol Floracing Night in America standings by 33 markers over Bobby Pierce. Brandon Sheppard, Tim McCreadie, Jonathan Davenport, Ricky Thornton Jr., Mike Marlar, Dennis Erb Jr., Tanner English, Brandon Overton, Devin Moran, Spencer Hughes, Tyler Erb, Earl Pearson Jr., and Kyle Bronson round out the current Top 15 in the latest points.
In addition to the Late Models, the on-track action includes special events for Modifieds($1,500-to-win) and Dollar General Crate Late Models ($1,000-to-win)
The Pit Gates open at 3:00pm, followed by Main and Back Gates opening at 5:30pm. Hot Laps are set to begin at 6:00pm with racing action kicking off at the completion of qualifying.
Ticket prices in the General Admission area will be $30 for Adults (18+) while ages 13-17 will be $20. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free to the General Admission area. A pit pass is $45.
After purchasing, your tickets will be emailed to you. You can then print your tickets or use your smartphone and go straight to the gate.
For drivers competing at Florence Speedway for the first time this season, you will be REQUIRED to register for events through MyRacePass. Drivers are encouraged to create a MyRacePass account and register in advance prior to arriving at the track. This will expedite the at-track registration process on race day. Please note it is only necessary to register once per season. If you have previously registered for an event at Florence Speedway in 2023, it is not necessary to complete the registration form each week.
