Hoffman Auto Group Donates Porsche Cayman To Just Hands Foundation

Story By: JUST HANDS FOUNDATION – EAST HARTFORD, CT – Just Hands Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to normalizing hands-only driving, is pleased to announce that the Hoffman Auto Group has donated a Porsche Cayman to be utilized for the continually expanding Just Hands Foundation track day programs.

The Just Hands Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities who use hand controls to drive to enjoy the freedom and exhilaration of high performance driving, providing that experience free of charge.

Just Hands will manage over 50 event days in 2023, and the Hoffman Auto Group’s remarkable contribution to the Foundations’ resources will establish the opportunity to continue to grow the schedule.

Just Hands has three different experiences for participants, including High Performance Driving Experiences, Autocross sessions, and Ride-Along experiences. This experience includes coaching, the use of hand controls and a car, and the track time access.

By promoting hands-only driving and providing opportunities for handicapped individuals to experience the thrill of being behind the wheel, the foundation aims to remove barriers and encourage inclusivity in the automotive world.

Hoffman Porsche’s donation of a Porsche Cayman underscores Hoffman’s continued commitment to making a positive impact in the community. With a balanced chassis featuring mid-engine power, the Porsche Cayman is an ideal high performance platform for the Just Hands Foundation experience. Equipped with state-of-the-art hand controls, the donated vehicle will enable handicapped drivers to gain confidence and experience behind the wheel.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Just Hands Foundation and contribute to their inspiring cause,” said Bradley Hoffman, Co-Chairman at Hoffman Auto Group. “By donating the Porsche Cayman, we are honored to support the foundation’s efforts in normalizing hands-only driving and providing transformative experiences to handicapped individuals. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy and independence that driving brings.”

The donation will help the Foundation not only provide more experiences for handicapped drivers, but it will also help to continue to raise public awareness of the program.

“We are immensely grateful to Hoffman Porsche for their generous donation,” said Just Hands Foundation founder Torsten Gross. “This Porsche Cayman will play a key role in our continually expending schedule of event days. We want to share this experience with as many people as possible because it can absolutely be a life-changing one. The partnerships and support that we develop are critical to our success and we are really looking forward to integrating the Cayman into our programs moving forward.”

The Cayman will see its first Just Hands Foundation action with a two-day outing at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut on June 26 and 27.
