Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GREG WILSON RACING – BENTON RIDGE, OH – It was another hard-fought week in the Buckeye State for Benton Ridge, Ohio’s Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing, and although Mother Nature ruined plans for a third start on Saturday, July 1, the Hercules Tires/DNC Hydraulics/Ohio Logistics No. W20 team took advantage of their week-long schedule and put together back-to-back forward charging performances, highlighting all with a 14th to ninth-place rally at Sharon Speedway on Wednesday, June 28.
Wilson, who finished fifth during Sharon Speedway’s Western Pennsylvania Speedweek date on Saturday, June 3, followed up his Sharon rally with another big move forward at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, June 30, this time advancing from 18th to finish 11th.
Wilson’s ninth-place score at Sharon bumped his season’s top-ten tally to seven total, four of which accumulated within the top five.
“It’s been a little bit of a learning curve this year, but things are coming together. Having the ability to move forward is an important asset and we certainly proved we can do that this weekend,” Wilson, a former All Star champion, said. “We’re looking forward to getting back to Sharon Speedway this Saturday for the Lou Blaney Memorial.”
Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing plan to join the All Star Circuit of Champions at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, July 8. The annual Lou Blaney Memorial featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions will award $10,000-to-win.
