Rain Wins Mid-Season Championship At White Mountain Motorsports Park

Story By: WHITE MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS PARK – NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH – After one system passed through the serene valley that nestles New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track, White Mountain Motorsports Park made the difficult decision to pull the plug on Midseason Championships after a second, stronger rainstorm pushed through.

After the rain came following the end of practice and pushing post time back to 6:30pm, the White Mountain faithful pushed through their qualifying rounds before a second, stronger batch of thundershowers plowed through the area following the checkered flag of the final Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini Stock heat race.

After Walker Fitch took the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Truck heat, Mark Patten jumped from the outside pole to take heat one in the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models while point leader Kasey Beattie charged from deep in heat two to take the checkered.

Similarly, one-two Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tiger point leaders Brandon Gray and John Donahue took their two respective heat race qualifiers. The first of two scheduled segments for the Wayne’s went off with Luke Shannon leading from the pole after being stalked by multi-time champion Jason Wyman in the final laps. The Strictly Minis were the last to run on Saturday with Tyler Thompson and Anthony Gavell taking the final victories of the evening.

Keep an eye out Monday afternoon for all Schedule updates associated with Midseason Championships and double points make-ups for all divisions in the coming weeks.
