Short Track Super Series Set For Autodrome Granby & Le RPM Speedway July 25th & 26th

Story By: CHRIS MOORE / SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – SAINT HYACINTHE, QUE – Canadian Flavor.  For the first time ever, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco ventures north of the border into Canada.

Autodrome Granby (Granby, Quebec) and Le RPM Speedway (Saint-Marcel-de-Richelieu, Quebec) host the first-ever Canadian STSS events on Tuesday, July 25 and Wednesday, July 26.

A rain date for either event is set for Thursday (July 27).

Each of the 60-lap features offer a healthy $10,000 top prize to the winner of each STSS big-block/small-block Modified feature.

More than $70,000 in purse money and contingency awards have been posted for the groundbreaking events in the inaugural ‘Lumberjack Swing.’

The purse structure for each 60-lap event: 1 – $10,000; 2 – $5,000; 3 – $3,000; 4 – $1,500; 5 – $1,400; 6 – $1,300; 7 – $1,250; 8 – $1,200; 9 – $1,100; 10 – $1,000; 11 – $900; 12 – $800; 13 – $700; 14 – $600; 15-24 – $500; STSS Provisionals – (-$250); Track Provisional (-$500).

“We’re thrilled to bring the Short Track Super Series brand to Quebec in the series’ 10th anniversary season,” STSS founder Brett Deyo said.

The two-race swing serves as Rounds No. 7 & 8 of the River Valley Builders North Region $15,000 championship chase.

The pair of races concludes a frantic stretch for the STSS North Region, as it follows a week in which the STSS North Region visits N.Y.’s Fonda and Utica-Rome speedways.

Tire rules for the Quebec events are as follows: Right-Rear: American Racer 56 compound only; Left-Rear: American Racer 48 compound only; Right-Front: American Racer 48 compound only; Left-Front: Any American Racer tire.
