East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals: Unique Dirt Track Auto Racing Event In Trenton Kicks Off Friday Night

Story By: LEN SAMMONS PRODUCTIONS – TRENTON, NJ – Gear up for a thrilling weekend of high-speed indoor motorsports as the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, is set to host the 5th running of the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals, sponsored by BELFOR Property Restoration, on Friday and Saturday, February 23 & 24.

The dramatic transformation of the CURE Insurance Arena into a 1/10-mile racing venue is an impressive undertaking, requiring four days and continuous efforts by a dedicated crew to prepare over 70 loads of black clay. This painstaking process ensures a top-quality racing surface, setting the stage for a unique motorsports event unlike any other in the region.

These 600cc Sprint Race Cars are compact, yet powerful machines equipped with high-tuned motorcycle engines, making them incredibly fast and agile on such a small race track. Specially designed for performance, these cars offer an exhilarating racing experience. In past years, two drivers have come from last to first in Saturday’s 50-lap main event.

More than 70 participants participated in a Thursday Night practice session with racers from 8 states across the northeast. Wayne Scott of Carneys Point, NJ set the fast time in 2 of the four practice sessions.

Attendees can expect edge-of-the-seat action as racers tackle the tight turns and high speeds of the specially constructed clay oval. The East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals will showcase the skill of the region’s top race car drivers, making it a must-see event for anyone who craves the thrill of competitive motorsports in an up-close and personal setting.
