A top-ten starting position ultimately resulted in a top-ten outcome for the Higginsville, Missouri, native, commencing the $20,000-to-win program from the outside of two before finishing eighth at the final checkers. The multi-time Knoxville Raceway track champion and reigning 360 Knoxville Nationals champion earned his way onto row two by way of heat race victory, racing on to finish fourth in the evening’s dash. Brown kicked off the Jason Johnson Classic with the eighth-fastest qualifying time of 33 entries.
Despite slipping outside of the top five, the eighth-place result was a surefire momentum kick for Brian Brown Racing, already aiming big in an upcoming swing through the Lone Star State with the High Limit Sprint Car Series.
“A very productive night for our Caseys | FVP team,” Brown noted. “We felt well out of the box, and after making some great adjustments for qualifying, we got ourselves into the invert. The heat race win was big and it locked us into the dash. Our balance was just a touch off in the A-Main. Regardless, I’m very proud of a top-eight finish with the World of Outlaws. We have a big weekend ahead with three High Limit events in Texas. Definitely excited to see all the Andy’s Frozen Custard franchisees, and all their great people, Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway.”
Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a High Limit Sprint Car Series Texas tripleheader on Friday through Sunday, April 12-14. Brown will join the High Rollers at Texarkana 67 Speedway on Friday, April 12, Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 13, and RPM Speedway on Sunday, April 14.
