Story By: LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES – BATAVIA, OH – Due to the unpredictable weather forecast and recognizing the high travel cost for touring teams, Florence Speedway and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials have mutually agreed to postpone Saturday’s 38th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence Speedway.
Track and Series officials are exploring options for a make-up date. An announcement regarding any scheduling and ticketing updates will be made at a later date.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series now shifts its focus to a mega weekend in the Midwest. On May 8-11, the Land of Lincoln will host the 3rd Annual Illinois Speedweek, a four-race swing beginning with Spoon River Speedway on May 8 before invading Lincoln Speedway on May 9. Each of those events, sanctioned by the FloRacing Night in America tour.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take center stage in Round No. 3 of the Illinois Speedweek with a stop at Farmer City Raceway. The Farmer City 74 presented by FloRacing will be a complete program for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, including Dirt Draft Hot Laps, Allstar Performance Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 74-lap, $25,000-to-win A-Main.
Fairbury Speedway’s FALS Spring Shootout presented by Titan Industries will cap off the four-race Illinois Speedweek. The $30,000 to win main event is preceded by a complete program of Dirt Draft Hot Laps, Allstar Performance Time Trials, Heat Races, and B-Mains for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
