Ransomville Speedway Loses Second Event Of 2024 Season Due To Weather

Story By: STEVEN PETTY / RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY – RANSOMVILLE, NY – With the projected weather forecast for rain for much of the afternoon and into the evening, Ransomville Speedway management made the decision to cancel the May 17th racing program.

The Sue Kulak Memorial for the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, scheduled for May 17th will now take place on Friday, May 24, as part of the full card of racing. The Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds will be racing 9 lap qualifying heats in honor and memory of Bob McCreadie, who passed away Thursday, May 16. McCreadie was a five-time winner of the Summer Nationals and won a total of 10 Modified races at Ransomville in his Hall of Fame career.

The Sportsman heat lineups will be set based from Test, Tune, and Time with the front row being locked in for the feature event.

Racing on May 24th will get underway at 7:15pm, with grandstand gates opening at 6pm, and pit gates will open at 5pm.
