Threatening Afternoon Showers Postpone Bedford Speedway’s Billy Winn Classic

Story By: MATT SKIPPER / WORLD OF OUTLAWS – BEDFORD, PA – With heavy showers affecting multiple parts of Pennsylvania and forecasted to hit Bedford Speedway on Friday afternoon, World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models and track officials agreed to postpone the Billy Winn Classic.

The decision was made keeping the best interest of drivers and fans in mind as weather models project more heavy rain during the afternoon and evening. Officials are seeking a makeup date for the event.

The “Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet” now shift their attention to the Third Annual Connor Bobik Memorial at Marion Center Raceway on Saturday, May 18. Then, they’ll venture to Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run, PA for the first time on Sunday, May 19.

Nick Hoffman, of Mooresville, NC, leads the Series points by two-points over New Berlin, IL driver Brandon Sheppard. The rest of the top five in points include Robeline, LA driver Cade Dillard, Gray Court, SC driver Chris Madden, and Decorah, IA driver Tyler Bruening.
