Story By: RYAN DELPH / CONLEY MOTORSPORTS – WHEELERSBURG, OH – Rod Conley and his #71R team made the trek to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio last Friday night, May 10 for an unsanctioned Super Late Model battle that shelled out a $2,000 winner’s check.
After timing in fourth quickest overall during the qualifying session, Rod ran third in his heat race at the Buckeye State oval. The Wheelersburg, Ohio standout then started the 25-lapper from the outside of the third row and finished right where he started… in the sixth spot behind only winner Adam Stricker, Tripp Gerrald, Blake Creech, Bill Sheets, and Brad Rickels.
Last Saturday’s $5,000 to win Valvoline American Late Model Iron Man Series opener at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio was then unfortunately washed out due to inclement weather.
The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams and drivers Rod and R.J. Conley will head to the Hoosier State this weekend for a rare trip to Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series (NALMS) will preside over a $5,000 to win shootout on Saturday, May 18. This event marks the highest-paying Super Late Model race since 2017 at the Dearborn County Fairgrounds facility.
