Story By: BRAD STRAWSER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – Sunday’s Bob Weikert Memorial Finale at Port Royal Speedway is loaded for drivers and fans alike.
Drivers from the PA Posse, Kubota High Limit Racing and invaders from across the country will be competing for the highest winner’s share in Port Royal Speedway history. Meanwhile, fans will have the opportunity to win multiple huge prize packs thanks to sponsors like Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Huset’s Speedway, Pocono Raceway and more.
The day will start off with a donut delivery to all the campers in the camping area of Port Royal Speedway that will start at 9AM. That will be followed by the annual Tailgate Contest that will kick off at 11AM. Campers participating will have the opportunity to show off their party prowess and the campsite with the best display will win a prize pack courtesy of Weikert Livestock.
Then at 12PM kicks off the Indy 500 watch party presented by the Huset’s High Bank Nationals that will take place in the commercial building inside the fairgrounds. Fans will have to purchase their ticket for the race day before entering the watch party, but once inside they will have the opportunity to win one of many great prizes at the event.
Prizes will include: 2 three-night all-access passes to the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway taking place in September, 2 four-day tickets to the Huset’s High Bank Nationals taking place on June 19th-June 22nd, 2 tickets to the July 14 NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway, 2 tickets to the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway taking place on August 15th, and Kyle Larson Indy 500 merchandise.
There will also be raffle tickets for sale at the watch party for fans to enter for a chance to win 4 tickets to the Double Down Duels & Joker’s Jackpot at Eldora taking place on July 17th and 18th or 2 tickets the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville on July 23rd. There will also be raffle tickets for sale for a chance to win a Weikert 29 themed golf cart courtesy of Jake’s Golf Carts and the Weikert family.
Following the party, the band “Gravy” will be taking the stage again at the Speed Palace to put on a pre-race concert for the fans in attendance.
After enjoying the performance, race fans can prepare for the grand finale and make their way to their seats for the Bob Weikert Memorial Finale worth $75,000 to win for the 410 sprint cars competing against the Kubota High Limit Racing series. The Zimmerman Truck Repair limited late models will also be competing for $2,000 to win as the support division on the night.

(If fans are returning from the Saturday rainout, they can bring their wristband to trade in for the Sunday show, but they will have to pay the remaining difference between the two show’s tickets. If a fan wants to use their band for another race, they can do so for any race that takes place at Port Royal Speedway within the next 30 days, or they can submit for a full refund as long as they mail their wristband to the speedway office in a self-address envelope.)
