Story By: RACE OF CHAMPIONS – HOLLAND, NY – The Race of Champions “Family of Series” is getting ready to kick the season off at Holland (NY) Speedway this coming Saturday with the running of “The SealMaster 100” on the high banks.
The Race of Champions Sportsman Modified; Late Model; Street Stock and FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series will all be in competition Saturday. It will be the opening race of the season for the Late Model Series.
Currently, young Andrew Lewis, Jr., of Ontario, NY is leading the championship standings in the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series coming off his strong second place finish at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, NY this past Friday.
“We are looking forward to Holland,” stated Lewis, Jr. “It is a challenging track. Things happen fast there and you’ve got to be ready for anything. We have the car running well and we are looking forward to another great night of racing. The Series is very competitive. We will be ready to go when the green flag drops.”
There will be a pre-race “Happy Hour” from 4:30-6:00pm sponsored by Wardynski Meats Buffalp; NY Fine Quality Meats and Labatt USA. “Tried by Twelve” will be playing in the midway. Open practice takes place this Thursday, June 6 for all divisions with gates opening at 4:00 pm and practice running from 5:00 pm until dusk.
