Late Models Ready to Show-Off on Foley Oil & Propane Night with $1,000 Bonus on the Line

Story By: WHITE MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS PARK – NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH – The King of the Mountain track championship Late Models are ready to shine once again on Saturday, June 8 at White Mountain Motorsports Park with a bit of added urgency involved.

The Late Model division sponsor Foley Oil & Propane of Belmont, New Hampshire is also sponsoring Saturday night’s event AND has tacked on a $1,000 bonus to the winner of Saturday’s Late Model feature! Along with the Flying Tigers, Strictly Minis, Dwarf Cars and Mini Late Models, the NELCAR Legend Tour invades with Bandoleros to boot for a seven-division card on Foley Oil & Propane Night!

Mike Jurkowski has been consistent, competitive and fast to start the season, leading the Foley Oil & Propane Late Model standings. In fact, Jurkowski joins young-guns Tanner Woodard and leading rookie Thomas Smithers, VI as the only three who have finished in the top-ten in all three feature events so far this season! Multi-time champions, and not so young as they used to be, both Quinny Welch and Stacy Cahoon continue to run strong and competitively to stand second and third in the standings. The $1,000 Foley Oil & Propane bonus this Saturday could mean an all-out, gloves off brawl for the win, and may just be the perfect storm that either keeps Jurkowski in control or rearranges the entire leaderboard!

Windham, Maine’s Cole Robie leads the NELCAR Legends Tour into White Mountain after his Late Model debut last Saturday. 35 different drivers have earned points on the NELCAR Tour this season, many of whom admit that White Mountain is a favorite track, expect a stacked field for Saturday with Bandoleros also joining the program!

Can anyone in the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers touch defending champion Brandon Gray? It’s the question on everyone’s mind after he’s taken three-in-a-row on the North Woodstock highbanks and doesn’t make any plans to hold back anytime soon! After a week of careful measurement, adjustment and wrenching, watch to see if Shane Sicard, Luke Peters or the Woodard stable can take down the champ on Saturday.

After taking his first win of the season on Saturday, Woodsville’s Patrick Switser is in command of the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Minis. This Saturday will be a much-needed shot at redemption for a pair of front runners who fell out early last Saturday with Todd Derrington experiencing engine failure and McKenna Merchant ending up on her lid!

Andy Hill has been in command of the Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars, but defending champ Jason Wyman and 2023 runner-up Dave Gyger are getting faster each week. The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models also return with Matt LeBlanc leading the standings over 2024 winners Nick Anderson and Chris Moulton.

New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track is back in action Saturday night, June 8 for Foley Oil & Propane Night! Headlined by the Foley Oil & Propane Late Model Special, with a $1,000 bonus to Saturday’s Late Model winner on the line, and the first of two visits for the NELCAR Legend Tour and Bandoleros! Continued track championship action from the Flying Tigers, Strictly Minis, Mini Late Models and Dwarf Cars will also fill out an exciting seven division card on Saturday, June 8 at White Mountain Motorsports Park!
