Grandview Speedway To Feature NASCAR Modified & Sportsman Double Header Saturday

Story By: JEFFREY AHLUM / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – The unpredictable racing action continues this Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

Ever since the 2024 race season has begun, we have seen several drivers repeat in the feature win department, there have been some drivers ending multiple year win droughts, and some drivers have been able to score their first career wins. The question is which or who will be next?

The questions will be answered when Grandview Speedway presents a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program this Saturday featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman.

The show on Saturday, June 15 will be sponsored by Macmillan Oil Company of Allentown and include qualifying events for both classes leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

MOCA’s mission is to partner with your business, guaranteeing all service levels are supplied and maintained, so your organization can grow and perform at optimal levels. MOCA provides lubrication supplies for passenger cars, heavy duty trucks, hydraulic equipment, gear oils, transmission fluids, DEF, and countless other specialty products.

Macmillan Oil Company of Allentown will be set up inside the main gate grandstand entrance to greet fans upon their arrival with lots of giveaways including hats to the first 750 fans through the front gate.

The Saturday, June 15 program will also see the next installment of the monthly fan participation Trivia nights, where questions about Grandview Speedway racing will be asked, and fans will be able to win some cool prizes, tickets for upcoming race events, or gift cards. The trivia night contests have been very popular and a lot of fun!

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet. The drivers scheduled to participate include Sportsman drivers Brett Gilmore, Kaitlyn Bailey, and Shannon Slaughter.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 5-6 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.

This past Saturday night Brett Kressley scored his second win of the year joining Louden Reimert as a two-time winner this season. John Willman ended a five-year winless drought with his recent win, while Eric Kormann just scored his first ever Grandview win in this past Tuesday night’s Thunder on the Hill special event.

These drivers will be in action this week along with point leader Jeff Strunk, Craig Von Dohren, Duane Howard, Mike Gular, Eddie Strada, Jared Umbenhauer, Kevin Hirthler, Tim Buckwalter, Doug Manmiller, and nearly three dozen drivers who will be looking to reach victory lane.

Mark Kemmerer scored the win in the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature last Saturday night, his first win in two seasons which is the same feat that Kenny Bock accomplished the week before.

Young Gavyn Krupp and Colton Perry each scored their first career Grandview wins this season, while point leader Logan Watt has been the only repeat winner with two victories.

These drivers along with other top point drivers like Adrianna Delliponti, Dylan Swinehart, Ryan Graver, Brett Gilmore, Mike Schneck Jr., Addison Meitzler, Mike Stofflet, Parker Guldin, Nathan Mohr, and three dozen drivers will be battling for their first win of the season this Saturday night.

Race fans will be able to take a trip down memory lane on Saturday, July 6 when Grandview Speedway presents 90’s night.

The highlight of the night will be the roll back of the grandstand admission to 1990’s pricing, as fans will pay just $10 for a complete night of T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman competition!

Fans are encouraged to wear 1990’s era t-shirts to the track to enjoy a fun night, a trip down memory lane, as well as a complete night of exciting current day NASCAR racing action.
