Ryan Timms Adds 410 Victory on Father’s Day at Huset’s Speedway

Story By: BEN SHELTON / RYAN TIMMS RACING – OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Ryan Timms and his dad enjoyed a special Father’s Day with a trip to Sea Foam Victory Lane on Sunday night at Huset’s Speedway aboard his CitGard Engine Oil / driveWFX.com No. 5T CITGO / Hampel Oil / Western Flyer Xpress / Mystik Lubricants Sprint Car.

The win marked Timms’ first 410 victory of the season and his eighth overall.

“It was so awesome,” Timms said. “I love coming here. I’m super happy to be back. Once I pulled the seven in the redraw I knew I had a chance at winning, but it was a lot more slim. I caught up to Kerry (Madsen) there and the curb was real solid and ledgy and it got him. I have no idea how I didn’t get caught up in that. I thought he landed on my car. I’m super fortunate there.”

Ryan Timms broke out his Western Flyer Xpress No. 5T Sprint Car on Friday to kick off his weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series for the two-day Premier Chevy Dealers Clash at the famed Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa).

With 64 Sprinters entered on Friday, Timms got off to a slow start in time trials but was able to find speed by the end of the night. Pinned on the fifth row of his C-Main, Ryan nearly raced into the Last Chance Showdown with a ninth-to-fourth showing in his 10-lap consolation race.

Back at the half-mile oval on Saturday afternoon, Ryan’s seventh-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the Last Chance Showdown for one final shot at the $12,000-to-win WoO finale. Needing to place fourth or better, Timms came two spots shy with a sixth-place outing.

Celebrating Father’s Day with his dad in victory lane on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway (Brandon, S.D.), Timms took command of the lead late in the 25-lap feature to record his eighth win of the 2024 campaign. After a heat race win locked him into the show, Ryan charged from the fourth row up to second by lap 17 and took command of the lead a few laps later to secure the late-race triumph. He took the checkers of Tim Kaeding, Scott Bogucki, Chase Randall, and Justin Henderson.

The team is set to return to Huset’s Speedway this weekend for the four-day special featuring the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. The Huset’s Hustle on Wednesday kicks off the action with a $20,000 preliminary up for grabs before Thursday’s $100,000-to-win A-Main.

On Friday, the BillionAuto.com Huset’s High Bank Nationals takes center stage with the third-mile oval offering a $20,000 preliminary payday. The weekend concludes on Saturday with the $250,000-to-win finale.
