First 50 Drivers On July 12th At Evergreen Raceway Get Paid Admission On Driver Appreciate Night

Story By: DINO OBERTO / EVERGREEN RACEWAY – BUTLER TOWNSHIP, PA – It’s been several years since Evergreen Raceway hosted a Friday night show and coming up on July 12 the 1/3-mile paved oval in Butler Township will be racing under the lights that evening with a three division program of 602 Crate Modifieds, Street Stocks and Four Cylinder Stocks.

It will be Driver Appreciation Night and as bonus the first 50 drivers who sign in will receive complimentary passes thanks to longtime Evergreen Raceway sponsor, The Wire Guys of Hazle Township.

“We’re excited to be able to have a race under the lights for that Friday evening,” stated owner/promoter Jason Makarewicz.

“And how amazing too that The Wire Guys are stepping in to pick up the tab for the first 50 drivers. That is awesome to say the least and I can’t thank them enough for all of the support they have given to us over the years.

“It never ceases to amaze me how much they put into this track and I know those drivers who get to take advantage of their generosity will feel equally the same.”

The Wire Guys is a division of Arc Electric Co and is located at 1338 North Church Street, Hazle Township, PA. Throughout the evening there will be giveaways as well also courtesy of The Wire Guys. Friday night’s races begin at 7:00 pm and main gates will open at 5:00 pm.

Sunday, June 30, Evergreen will hosting the Tour Type Modifieds in a 50-lap/$2000-to-win feature along with Street Stocks, Four Cylinders, Rotten-and-Forgotten plus the East Coast TQ Midgets and the JuiceBox division.

Pit gates will open at 10:30 am. Pit admission is $40 per person. Warm-ups will begin at 12:30 pm with heats starting at 2:00 pm.

The main grandstands open at noon. Adult admission is $15, kids 12 and under are free.
