Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – With a busy first half of the 2024 season in the record books, the Woodhull Raceway will now look towards the inward half of the 2024 campaign, and it all starts with a scheduled night off on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
According to track owner, Nikki Brewer, “There is a lot going on around the July 4 holiday with family outings, vacations and people heading to the beach or lake. When we put the 2024 schedule together over this past winter it was decided that July 6 would be the perfect night to give all our drivers, fans, sponsors and employes a well-deserved respite. Sometimes we all need a break to regroup and with the July 6 Night Off it allows everyone a chance to get ready for the second half of the 2024 season.”
This sets up an aggressive three week stretch in July where the track will host everything from a Powder Puff Race to Vintage Race Cars to the traditional Christmas in July Bicycle Give-Away to the 360 ESS Winged Sprints. It will be busy to say the least!
The 2024 Schedule of Events is subject to change due to rainouts or other unanticipated matters.
With the Double Point Mid-Season Races now safely into the record books, the point battles in all the tracks weekly seven divisions will become more prevalent as drivers continue to jockey for position heading into the July and August stretch run prior to the Season Point Championship Night on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024.
When Woodhull returns to action on Saturday, July 13 it will be the make-up Jim Willliams Memorial Fireworks Show and Woodhull VFD Chicken BBQ featuring the Insinger Performance Modifieds, Hometown Excavation 602 Crate Sportsman, Empire Crushing RUSH Crate Late Models, Southern Tier Customs Street Stocks, Sawyer’s Camper and RV Service and Repair Hobby Stocks along with a pair of Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s sponsored classes in the Quad C Mini Stocks and Youth Warriors.
The originally scheduled Powder Puff and Street Stock King of the Ring which were on the original July 13 schedule will be re-set to a later date.
Pit gates for all events open at 4:00 pm with Main Grandstand Seating gates swinging at 4:30 pm.
Woodhull offers a special Early Bird Special from 4:30 pm to 5:30 PM knocking $1 off the Adult Ticket Price.
Other discounts apply for Seniors (+62) and Kids (8-12) with a paid adult.
