World of Outlaws Late Models Debut at Wilmot During July Monday Night Special

Story By: NICK GRAZIANO / WORLD OF OUTLAWS – WILMOT, WI – Wilmot Raceway adds its name to the list of tracks hosting World of Outlaws Sprint Car and Late Model events this year with the World of Outlaws Late Model Showdown on Monday, July 29.

The event will be the popular Wisconsin dirt track’s first time hosting the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models and set the stage for a massive week in the Badger State. Following the race at Wilmot, the World of Outlaws will compete at Cedar Lake Speedway for the USA Nationals, Aug. 1-3.

While it’ll be the Series’ first time visiting Wilmot, the track has hosted several Late Model events. 2022 World of Outlaws champion Dennis Erb Jr. won the Dairyland Duel with the American Ethanol Late Model Tour in 2018. Fellow Series competitor Brian Shirley was also in that race and finished seventh.

The Series has run two races in Wisconsin, so far, this year – both at Mississippi Thunder Speedway. Nick Hoffman won the first race – his first win in Wisconsin with the Series – and Ryan Gustin won the second.

Monday night’s event will pay $10,000 to the winner and add their name to the history book as the first World of Outlaws winner at Wilmot.
