Remnants of Hurricane Beryl Wash Out Lucas Oil Stop at Tri-City

Story By: LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES – BATAVIA, OH – Due to the intense rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl, Tri-City Speedway and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials have been forced to postpone Friday’s NAPA Know How 50.

Track and series officials are exploring options for a make-up date. Any information regarding the rescheduling of the event will be announced at a later date.

“This is disappointing. However, the over five-inches of rain the grounds took would make it nearly impossible to prepare the facility for a safe night of racing,” said Tri-City Speedway promoter Kevin Gundaker. “Tri-City Speedway has been a staple on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series schedule for 20 years and the NAPA Know How 50 has become one of our biggest events of the season.”

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events on Thursday, July 11, at 34 Raceway and Saturday, July 13 at Lucas Oil Speedway are still on as scheduled.
