Emms Becomes Eighth Different Consecutive OSCAAR Modified Feature Winner

Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / OSCAAR – DURHAM, ONT – Utilizing a mid-race restart to his advantage, A.J. Emms took over the top spot and held onto become the eighth different consecutive Just Foam It OSCAAR Modified feature winner.

Emms wasted no time making his way forward after taking the green in fourth, taking over second with just 11 laps on the board. The caution would come out at the halfway mark for Dave Mathers stalling on the backstretch, setting up a mid-race restart.

Rolling the outside lane through turns one and two, A.J. Emms cleared T.J Edwards off the corner to take over the lead. He then paced the final half of the event en route to visiting Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC victory lane.

T.J Edwards tried to mount a challenge in the final laps, coming up short en route to a runner-up finish. Dale Reinhart completed the podium ahead of Steve Trendell and Brent McLean.

Steve Filsinger placed sixth in his OSCAAR Modified debut, running a second entry alongside Edwards for Tremble Motorsports. Jason Keen ran up front early, but faded back and went around on the last lap en route to seventh. Alvin McNicol was eighth in his first start of the season, with Wally Wilson in ninth after battling electrical issues. Dave Mathers rounded out the field.

Bromley Automotive heat wins went to T.J Edwards, A.J. Emms, Steve Trendell, and Alvin McNicol.

Edwards now holds a 17 point advnatage over Keen atop of the standings.
