Daniel Wilkerson & SCAG Ford Team Looking To Keep Northwest Nationals Victory In The Family

Story By: SARA SLAUGHTER / SCAG RACING – KENT, WA – Daniel Wilkerson and the SCAG Power Equipment Ford Mustang team enter this weekend’s NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways as the quasi-event winners. In 2023, it was Tim Wilkerson, Daniel’s father and now crew chief, who won the event with this same team.

While Daniel has yet to make a pass down Pacific Raceways, Tim, in addition to his 2023 victory, has another three wins at the facility, as a matter of fact, it was a stretch of three consecutive wins from 2009 to 2011.

“Since Tim has tuned his way to four victories at the Seattle event over his career, this team looks forward to this one every year,” Daniel said. “Coming here with our SCAG Power Equipment Mustang as defending champs definitely adds a little extra pep in our step.”

Before heading to the track to rack up another Wilkerson victory, Daniel took a visit to team partner Rottler Manufacturing also located in Kent, Washington on Wednesday and on Thursday will participate in the Northwest Nationals FanFest at the Dave & Buster’s at The Outlet Collection in Auburn, Washington.

“In addition to the teams past success here, we always get a chance to catch up with our friends at Rottler as well, which is something we look forward to,” Wilkerson said. “The track also has some really cool activities planned for Friday so stay tuned between runs and you can’t miss the night session.”
