High Probability of Storms Force Postponement of EAMS Event to Friday, August 2nd

Story By: RYAN DELPH / SOUTHERN NATIONALS SERIES – PHENIX CITY, AL – Due to the high probability of afternoon thunderstorms and rain continuing into the evening, tonight’s $7,553 to win Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series show at the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway has been rained out and postponed until Friday, August 2. Since tonight’s show has been nixed by inclement weather, the Phenix City, Alabama oval has now scheduled a weekly racing program for Saturday, July 20. The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco will now turn our focus to the 25th edition of the ‘Rebel Yell’ slated for Saturday, July 20 at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia. Super Late Model drivers are invited to practice later tonight at Screven in preparation for tomorrow’s $10,053 to win event.
