Blackjack satisfied with Eldora performances; A return to Knoxville ahead

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRIAN BROWN RACING – GRAIN VALLEY, MO – In all, it was a sound Eldora Speedway performance for Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing, capping their four-race High Limit and World of Outlaws campaign with three main event starts, all of which highlighted with a 14th-place score in High Limit Racing’s Double Down Duels on Wednesday, July 17. A strong preliminary effort allowed Brown to start from the pole position, but an eventual tire pressure issue kept the Higginsville, Missouri, native from being a winning threat.

In addition, Brown, ace of his own Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, Ditzfeld Transfer, No. 21 sprint car, raced on to an 18th-place score in the Knight Before The Kings Royal on Friday, July 19, and a 19th-place score in the $175,000-to-win Kings Royal on Saturday, July 20. “Blackjack” started 13th and 16th, respectively.

Unfortunately, Brown’s effort in High Limit Racing’s $100,000-to-win Joker’s Jackpot on Thursday, July 18, concluded in the evening B-Main.

“We had a hard-fought weekend where we had to work for everything we accomplished. In the end, we were happy to qualify for three of four features. It was an incredibly competitive field of cars,” Brown stated. “We had a solid night going on Wednesday, that until we ran into some tire pressure issues which really caused havoc for me inside the car. We had great speed the other nights, as well, just needed to be more consistent. Regardless, proud of this Casey’s | FVP team. My guys continue to work their tails off and I’m proud of their efforts.”

ON DECK:
Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a return visit to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, July 27. Friday’s agenda is still TBD.
