Heavy Evening Rain Postpones Super DIRTcar Series’ Canadian Classic at Brockville

Story By: MIKE WARREN / SUPER DIRTCAR SERIES – BROCKVILLE, ONT – With heavy continuous rain Wednesday evening at Brockville Ontario Speedway, Super DIRTcar Series and Brockville Ontario Speedway officials have postponed the Canadian Classic to Thursday, Sept. 5.

Fans who attended the event may use their wristbands for the rescheduled event.

The Series now turns its attention to SummerFAST, Aug. 12-14, at Brewerton Speedway, Land of Legends Raceway, and Fulton Speedway.

Two-time SummerFAST champion Matt Sheppard leads the Super DIRTcar Series standings by 27 points over Mat Williamson, who won the SummerFAST opener at Brewerton last year.

They’ll have to contend with defending Brewerton and Fulton Speedway track champion Tim Sears Jr., current Brewerton points leader Jimmy Phelps, Rookie of the Year contender Alex Payne, and a stout field of regional competitors like Chris Hile and Justin Haers.
