Matt Dooley Claims Third Win of 2024 at Dixie Speedway

Story By: JEREMY PETERS / MATT DOOLEY RACING – BROOKS, GA – Matt Dooley enjoyed a triumphant return to Victory Lane over the weekend with a flag-to-flag victory at Dixie Speedway on Saturday night aboard his WesPro JCB Atlanta / Crown Security / Scott’s Machine No. 18 Rocket Chassis Late Model.

The 28-year-old Brooks, Ga., native bested the field in time trials and proceeded to lead every lap of the main event to secure the evening sweep.

“First off, I have to thank all my sponsors who continue to support me and help me pursue my dream,” Dooley said. “I also have to give a big shout-out to all my crew guys who continue to bust their butts. This entire deal is a team effort and I couldn’t be more grateful for all my sponsors, crew, and my fans.”

Matt Dooley hopped behind the wheel of the John Wayne Harbin-owned No. 8 Late Model on Friday at Penton (AL) Raceway for the regular night of racing.

After timing in fourth-fastest overall in time trials, Dooley rolled to a consistent fourth-place finish in the 20-lap feature.

Back behind the wheel of the Atlanta Coring No. 18 Late Model on Saturday at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.), Matt topped the 18-car field in time trials before cruising to a flag-to-flag victory in the 20-lap feature.

He recorded his third win of the season ahead of Ryan Ray, Jake Herrell, Zach Leonhardi, and David Eubanks.

Dooley is prepping for a return to the Super Late Model ranks this coming weekend for the rescheduled Roscoe Smith Memorial at Senoia Raceway. The Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals event is set for Saturday night and will offer a $7,544 top prize.
