Rain Wins At Sharon Speedway On Saturday For The Third Time Of 2024

Story By: MIKE LEONE / SHARON SPEEDWAY – HARTFORD, OH – After completing all of the scheduled events for the month of July, August opened up how June ended- with a rain out.

With rain falling in the morning and a high likelihood of thunderstorms continuing until evening, Sharon Speedway made the decision to cancel racing action scheduled for Saturday night. It marked the third rain out of the season. Stay tuned for a make-up date for the “Ray’s Race” Gibson Insurance Agency Pro Stock special.

The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Big-Block Modifieds will return to Sharon next Saturday (August 10) and will be joined by the Hovis UMP Modifieds presented by A&MP Electric along with the Billy’s Garage RUSH Sprint Cars and HTMA/Precise Racing Products RUSH Sportsman Modifieds. It’s Twin-State Auto Racing Club Night. Race time is 7 p.m.

Don’t forget that the “Lou Blaney Memorial” will be coming up on Saturday, August 17 featuring the “410” Sprint Cars battling for $12,000 to-win with $1,200 to-start! The BRP Tour for the Big-Block Modifieds will also be in action. NASCAR star Ryan Blaney will also be making an appearance.
