Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – With a forecast of afternoon and early evening showers, Woodhull Raceway owner/promoter, Nikki Brewer decided it in everyone’s best interest to forgo racing at the historic Steuben County oval for Saturday, August 3, 2024.
“We have had some really good weather for racing over the past several weeks, but todays outlook is not the greatest by any means, so the decision was made early to cancel and save fans, employees and race teams any unnecessary travel.” That is according to Nikki Brewer.
With the cancellation it sets things up for Woodhull’s biggest racing event of the 2024 season with the running of the 3rd Annual Honoring Alice event.
On the card for the Tuesday, August 6, 2024, show will be a $5,500 to win Modified feature, $4,000 to win RUSH Crate Late Model Touring Series Darwin Davis Memorial feature along with a $1,000 to win Empire Street Stock thirty lap feature.
Modifieds will use a Draw/Re-draw to set heat and feature line-ups and Mods can run any compound American Racer Tire which is mandatory.
RUSH CLM and Empire SS use their current rules packages.
Gates for the August 6, 2024, event will find pit entry at 4:00 pm with the main grandstand seating area opening at 4:30 pm.
The first green rag waves at 6:30 pm.
B H Log Hauling of Woodhull will be the headline sponsor for the Honoring Alice Williams event.
Show-up points will be given out for the Modified, Crate Late Model and Street Stock teams that attend the Tuesday, August 6, 2024, program.
The Saturday, August 3 rainout was to have featured a Regular Super 7 Show along with a special Modified King of the Ring one-on-one event.
Nightly sponsors for the August 3 show were to include Dgien Trucking of Howard, NY, Bradley Supply of Hornell as well as Carquest MSP Automotive of Elkland, Pa.
It is uncertain when the Modified King of the Ring as well as when Dgien, Bradley and Carquest can return at another date.

With the weeks winding down for the Regular Point Paying Season at Woodhull prior to Post Season Special Events, all eyes are now on the point battles in all weekly classes including the Insinger Performance Modifieds, Hometown Excavation Crate Sportsman, Empire Crushing Rush CLM, Southern Tier Customs Street Stocks, Sawyer’s RV and Camper Service Center Hobby Stocks along with the Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s Quad C and Youth Warrior Divisions.
