COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Heads To Oklahoma and Missouri this Weekend

Story By: BEN SHELTON / COMP CAMS SUPER DIRT SERIES – CONWAY, AR – After seeing Mother Nature selfishly steal their last two scheduled events, the stars and cars of the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Super Late Models are looking ahead to brighter skies this weekend as they prepare for a pair of $5,000-to-win events in Oklahoma and Missouri.

Action opens on Friday at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Oktaha, Okla.) before shifting to Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Saturday night.

Two-time CCSDS Champion, Logan Martin continues to hold the distinguishment of being the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man with a 15-point advantage over Morgan Bagley atop the series standings. Kyle Beard (-57), B.J. Robinson (-68), and Jon Mitchell (-71) round out the Top 5 in the series standings with Clayton Stuckey, Scott Crigler, Jon Kirby, Brandon Ball, and Austin Vincent completing the current Top 10.

Brandon Ball holds an 11-point lead over Austin Vincent in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year point chase.

On Friday, August 9 the tour makes its return to Outlaw Motor Speedway (Oktaha, Okla.) for the first time since 2016. Tony Jackson Jr. has won both series appearances at the oval, held in 2015 and 2016. The night includes a Back to School Night with free backpacks to kids at gate entry and a candy giveaway for the kids at intermission, while Pure Stocks, B-Mods, and Limited Mods will share the night’s racing spotlight.

Grandstand admission is $15 (ages 13-and-up) with Senior Citizens / Veterans $10, kids (ages 6-to-12) $5, and children (ages 5-and-under) free. Pit passes (ages 6-and-up) are $45 with children (ages 5-and-under) free.

Action shifts to Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Saturday, August 10 for the tour’s second appearance of 2024 at the ¼-mile oval. Back in April Clayton Stuckey charged from the 19th-starting position to claim his first CCSDS win.

The facility also will feature a Back to School Night presented by Mercy Health Foundation with the first 200 kids through the gate receiving a drawstring bag and a water bottle. POWRi MW Modzs B, Legend Cars, POWRi Pure Stocks, POWRi B-Mod, and POWRi FWD classes will each join the CCSDS contingent in contesting a complete program.

The pit gate opens at 3:30 p.m. with the grandstand gate opening at 5:45 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:35 p.m. with racing action at 7 p.m.

Grandstand admission (ages 13-and-up) is $25 with senior citizens / military admission $23, kids (ages 6-12) $5, and children (ages 5-and-under) free. Pit admission (ages 15-and-up) is $40 with kids (ages 6-14) $15 and children (ages 5-and-under) free.
