Ontario Legend Car Series is Ready to Play at Peterborough Speedway

Story By: JIM CLARKE / ONTARIO LEGEND CAR SERIES – PETERBOROUGH, ONT – After spending more than a month criss-crossing the province, teams with the Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series will be back in Central Ontario for a Saturday, August 10th date at Peterborough Speedway.

“We’ll be running a pair of feature events on this weekend’s schedule,” explained Ontario Legend Car Series director and spokesperson Robin Jongen. “The night will start with the ‘A’ feature from Saturday, July 6th that was postponed because of the track’s curfew and following our next round of heat races, we’ll conclude with the running of the National qualifier.”

With the group’s starts limited because of weather and time constraints, Mitch Wright and Dawson Drimmie have won Ontario Legend Car main events at Peterborough Speedway this season. Wright’s win came on opening night, Saturday, May 18th while Drimmie claimed a pair of checkered flags Saturday, June 1st.

This weekend’s Ontario Legend Car Series dates at Peterborough Speedway will be presented by Skelton Truck Lines and ATS Healthcare. Each company will have a strong contingent of employees at the track for the races. Pit gates will open at 1:30, with spectator grandstands unlocked at 4:00. The night’s opening Great Canadian RV green flag is at 5:00.
