Randall & TKS Motorsports thrilled with Knoxville Nationals effort; Jackson Nationals on deck

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TKS MOTORSPORTS – MITCHELLVILLE, IA – Two major weekends at the “Sprint Car Capital of the World” resulted in two major accomplishments for Chase Randall and TKS Motorsports, racing on to qualify for each of the country’s biggest events for their respective divisions; the 360 Knoxville Nationals and the coveted Knoxville Nationals featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Although shy of the ultimate goal, the eventual end outcomes were perfect in their own right, capping the evenings 23rd and 22nd, respectively.

Impressive enough, the young man out of Waco, Texas, earned top-five scores in each of his Nationals preliminary efforts, highlighting said starts with a fourth-place result in Wednesday’s Knoxville Nationals main event on August 8. The top-five, mixed with a four-spot rally to win his respective heat race, allowed Randall to lock himself into Saturday’s 50-lap “Granddaddy Of Them All.”

Randall and TKS Motorsports finished second in their 360 Knoxville Nationals preliminary feature on August 1, advancing ten positions from 12th on the starting grid.

“Just an incredible effort by this entire TKS Motorsports team. I know we didn’t have the A-Main results we wanted, but to put together two solid weeks like that says so much and I’m proud of everyone,” Troy Renfro, owner of the Albaugh – Your Alternative, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, TJ Forged, No. 2KS sprint car, said. “This was a total team effort and everyone plays an important role. The Nationals may be done, but we still have work to do. Here’s to continuing our successes this weekend at Jackson Motorplex.”

As noted, Chase Randall and TKS Motorsports will continue their 2024 campaign with the Jackson Nationals at Jackson Motorplex. Certainly no stranger to the state-of-the-art complex, Randall is a recent winner, clinching a $7,000 payday after leading every lap on July 26.
