Story By: MIKE LEONE / SHARON SPEEDWAY – HARTFORD, OH – After dodging thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and early evening on Saturday, rain finally overspread Sharon Speedway around 7:30 p.m., which ultimately forced the “Lou Blaney Memorial” to be postponed to Saturday, September 21.
The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply “410” Sprint Cars completed qualifying with Brandon Spithaler (13.858) and Zane DeVault (14.057) fastest in their respective flights and the Big-Block Modifieds were close to concluding warmups when rain began to fall.
