Dennis Erb, Jr. and BWRC House Car Team Set to Invade Lernerville and Atomic

Story By: RYAN DELPH / DENNIS ERB RACING – CARPENTERSVILLE, IL – Dennis Erb, Jr. made his debut in the BWRC ICON House Car from August 14-17 in a trio of World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series showdowns in the states of Illinois and Iowa.

The busy stretch of racing kicked off last Wednesday at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois. Dennis knocked down the third quickest time in Group A during qualifying prior to securing a victory in his heat race. After starting third on the grid in the $10,000 to win main event, Dennis was hampered by right front damage from an incident during the 40-lap contest and was eventually scored in the tenth finishing position. Thursday’s scheduled stop to Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois was then unfortunately nixed by inclement weather.

The dirt-slinging action then quickly shifted to Maquoketa Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa over the weekend for the two-day ‘Hawkeye 100.’ On Friday evening with a $10,000 top prize up for grabs, Dennis placed fourth in his heat race and eighteenth in the 40-lapper after suffering a flat tire just past the halfway mark. With a $20,000 paycheck on the line in Saturday’s finale, Dennis ran fifth in his heat race, won his B-Main, and later climbed to fourteenth in the 60-lap headliner. The Carpentersville, Illinois star still finds himself ninth in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings exiting the ‘Hawkeye 100.’ .

The #28 team will return to competition later tonight, August 21 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series will sanction a $20,000 to win throwdown this evening at the famed Keystone State speedplant. Dennis comes into the show seventh in the latest version of the series point standings.

Following an off day for travel on Thursday, it is back to the World of Outlaws Late Model Series grind on August 23-24 in the Buckeye State. The two-day ‘Fireball 50’ will take place at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. Dennis will gun for a $10,000 winner’s check in Friday’s weekend opener, while Saturday’s finale boasts a $15,000 payday.
