CCSDS Thunders into Jackson Motor Speedway and Magnolia Motor Speedway

Story By: BEN SHELTON / COMP CAMS SUPER DIRT SERIES – CONWAY, AR – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models return to action with a Labor Day weekend doubleheader on August 31 and September 1 at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Miss.) and Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.). Both events pay $5,000 to win.

With 10 events remaining on the 2024 CCSDS docket, Logan Martin continues to be the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man in pursuit of a third series title and his first since 2021. Morgan Bagley is 52 points out of the lead in second with Kyle Beard 88 markers back in third, B.J. Robinson 98 points removed from the top spot in fourth, and Clayton Stuckey 112 points out of the lead in fifth.

Jon Mitchell, Scott Crigler, Brandon Ball, Austin Vincent, Charlie Cole, Jarret Stuckey, Jon Kirby, and Chance Mann round out the latest title battle.

Brandon Ball holds an 18-point advantage over Austin Vincent in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year competition.

On Saturday, August 31 the tour makes its lone appearance of the 2024 season at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Miss.) with the 2024 edition of the All-American 60. The event posts a $5,000 winner’s check for the CCSDS contingent, and Neil Baggett is the defending event champion. Joining the racing card will be the Patriot Roofing Factory Stocks, Rayner’s Automotive & Repair Street Stocks, Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Late Models, Hot Shots, and KB Motorsports Sportsman.

Adult grandstand admission is $25 with senior citizens $20 and kids $12. Pit admission is $40 for adults and $25 for kids.

Action shifts to Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) on Sunday, September 1, where another $5,000-to-win CCSDS event is on the books. The S&J Auto Sales Crate Late Models, Trak-Star Street Stocks, William Wells Three Star Tire Factory Stocks, Guest Body Shop Late Model Sportsman, Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet Modifieds, and the Eat Clinic Hot Shots join the program.

Grandstand admission (ages 11-and-up) is $25 with kids (ages 10-and-under) free. Pit admission (ages 11-and-up) is $40 with kids (ages 6-10) $30, and children (ages 5-and-under) free.

The pit gate opens at 3 p.m. with the grandstand gate opening at 5 p.m., while the driver’s meeting is at 6 p.m. with racing action at 7 p.m.

The CCSDS Super Late Model tire rule for the event is as follows:
