All in the Family as Norris Father-Daughter Sweep The Night At Flamboro Speedway

Story By: ASHLEY MCCUBBIN / FLAMBORO SPEEDWAY – MILLGROVE, ONT – In a night that saw some past feature winners rekindle the magic and visit victory lane, the Weston Forest Products Ontario Pro Challenge Series highlighted the night with a family sweep.

Emma Norris led all 25 laps en route to winning the first feature in front of Jay Linde, Mike Norris, Bryan Stevanus, and Ty Riopelle. Tim Norris made his way through traffic was sixth ahead of Sterling Hattin, Jordan Ramsbottom, Ethan Fleet, and Travis Majuery. Mike O’Connell, Tenli Pepin, and Taylor Weber rounded out the field.

Tim Norris took the lead on Lap 8, leading the rest of the way to win the second feature in front of Ty Riopelle, Ethan Fleet, Sterling Hattin, and Emma Norris. Jordan Ramsbottom battled his way to sixth ahead of Bryan Stevanus, Taylor Weber, Mike O’Connell, and Tenli Pepin. Jay Linde, Travis Majuery, and Mike Norris failed to finish.

Bobby Mercer took the lead on Lap 6, pacing the rest of the laps en route to winning the first Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stock feature in front of Matt Young, Tyler Lewis, Mike Thomson, and Will Gibbons. Mike Robinson III turned his appearance at Flamboro into a solid sixth ahead of Kaitlyn Wallace, Kris Lawrence, Nikki King, and Rory Markle.

Alex Stewart was 11th, while Mark Grieve did not finish. Michael Kenny did not take the green flag.

Tyler Lewis returned to victory lane in the second feature in front of Bobby Mercer, Matt Young, Mike Thomson, and Mike Robinson III. Kaitlyn Wallace was sixth ahead of Rory Markle, Alex Stewart, and Nikki King.

Will Gibbons and Kris Lawrence failed to finish, while Mark Grieve and Michael Kenny did not take the green flag.

Craig Cole may have crossed the finish line second in the first Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stock feature, but was credited with the victory after the first car across was disqualified. Wayde Thorne was second in front of Spencer Riddell, Leo Labarbera, and Cameron Thomson. Rick Mitchell made his way through the traffic was sixth ahead of Chance Rogers, Chase Mitchelll, Gillian Hils, and Chris Burrows.

Rachel Mitchell was 11th, followed by Mac Ingram, Teagan Ellis, Mike Hall, Mark Allan, Dylan Peckham, Dan Pettit, and Kevin Heist. Several drivers failed to finish including Hailey Hill, Megan Mitchell, Gary Slama, Josh Glos, and Mark Thorne. Jordan Wilms suffered a post-race disqualification.

Mark Allan led flag-to-flag to win the second feature in front of Chase Mitchell, Craig Cole, Mike Hall, and Cameron Thomosn. Jordan Wilms rebounded for sixth ahead of Chance Rogers, Gary Slama, Wayde Thorne, and Spencer Riddell.

Leo Labarbera was 11th, followed by Chris Burrows, Mac Ingram, Gillian Hils, Rick Mitchell, Dylan Peckham, Rachel Mitchell, Hailey Hill, Mark Thorne, and Josh Glos. Teagan Ellis was 21st, while Dan Pettit did not finish. Kevin Heist and Megan Mitchell did not take the green flag.

The night concluded with a 100 lap Enduro, which saw Dan Dos Santos pick up the checkered flag ahead of Rodney Rutherford, Dylan Sharpe, Richard Polmateer, and Darrell Geerlinks. Gary Slama completed 97 laps en route to placing sixth ahead of Kole Bishop-Polmateer, Craig Cole, Thomas Rudzroga, and Hailey Hill.

Curtis Stewart was 11th, followed by Ben Ehlert, Jeremy Dungay, Emma Norris, Dan Pettit, Trevor Checkalk, Michael Plazek, Will Foster, Corey Lehman, Adam Jeneroux, and Leo Labarbera.

The next racing event is scheduled at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, September 14, featuring the Pro Late Models, Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks.
