Story By: TIM BALTZ / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ONT – The annual Monster Enduro was welcomed with beautiful warm weather this past Sunday afternoon with over 100 entries in the pits.
It was Ladies first to kick off the day as 15 drivers took the green flag. Lisa Quesnel led the way early on but once the track conditions came around Tracy Mullen took over the lead. Mullen would lead the final 12 laps to secure the win over Quesnel and Cat Bieber. The race was slowed by only 1 red flag.
In the SUV/Truck division a solid field turned out. Sam Titley who nearly won the 8 cylinder division one year ago, took the lead early in the 25 lap contest and never looked back taking a dominant victory. Raphael Benjamin finished second with Pascal Pilon rounding out the top three.
The Men’s 4 Cylinder race saw a big field of cars with 58 drivers taking the green flag in the 50 lapper. After several red flags for minor incidents, Max Berry was declared the winner of the event that saw around 17 cars still running at the finish. Braden Fowler and Pat Pope, who led early on completed the top 3.
The day was completed by a 100 lap 6/8 Cylinder race, which also featured some returning drivers from previous race. A pair of long time competitors in full fender cars Derek Cryderman and Brad Taillon were the class of the field. Cryderman experienced issues with the left rear of his car allowing Taillon to take over the top spot at half way. Taillon would go unchallenged to win with Mathieu Laroque and Casey Cavanaugh the top three.
