Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – Woodhull Raceway owner/promoter, Nikki Brewer will complete her fifth season at the helm of the Historic Steuben County Facility with an exceptionally good mixture of Sportsman, 600 cc Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds and Hobby Stocks as the track will pull the curtain on the 2024 campaign.
The Hometown Excavation 602 Crate Sportsman will run a special $2,500 to win, 35 lap special event to cap off the season as they will be joined by the NYPENN IMCA Modifieds who will make their second and final appearance at Woodhull in 2024.
For the Jake Maynard led series will also find their event at Woodhull to be their last point series event of the season.

The 600 cc Modifieds have not attempted the High Banked One-Third of a Mile Oval at Woodhull in recent memory, however it is a sure bet that there will be a slew of the 600’s making their way to the facility from across the region.
Rounding out the card, it will be the Annual Joe Birdsall Big Bog Dirty 30 for the Sawyer’s RV and Camper Service Center Hobby Stocks.
This year the late Alllison Pierce’s name will also be added to the Joe Birdsall Memorial tribute originally started by Birdsall’s son, Joseph and his family.
Allison is the mother- in-law of Joseph Birdsall and she passed away very suddenly on November 22, 2023.
Joe Birdsall was stricken by COVID and succumbed on June 6, 2021leaving behind a legacy as one of the best Front Wheel Drive Mini Stock Competitors to ever run at the Woodhull Raceway.
Grandstand gates for the September 28, 2024, event open at 3:30 with the first green flag waving at 5;30 pm.
For the second consecutive year Joe Trappler of JT Logging and his entourage will grace the Woodhull Raceway with their presence as the nightly event sponsor and they get to enjoy the action for the confines of the VIP Tower high atop Woodhull’s massive front straightaway grandstand seating area.
Trappler and company will also be in victory lane to hand out hardware for all feature winners,
