Woodhull Raceway Loses Another One To Rain

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – After steady overnight rain coupled with additional morning and early afternoon drizzle and fog, the Woodhull Raceway pulled the plug on their scheduled Saturday, September 28, 2024, event.

“With Sportsman, IMCA Modified, Hobby Stock and 600cc Modified Race Teams traveling long distances to get to the track for our Specials Only Format we decided it best to cancel rather than have multiple teams having unnecessary travel. We will regroup and move on from there.” That is according to Woodhull Raceway owner/promoter, Nikki Brewer.

Due to last Saturday’s washed-out event on September 21, it pushed that date to Saturday, October 5, 2025, which will include the Southern Tier Customs Street Stock 100, Sawyer’s RV and Trailer Repair Center Hobby Stocks as well as the Hometown Excavation Crate Sportsman, the Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s Quad C along with the 600cc Modifieds.

The October 5 event will remain sponsored by Southern Tier Customs and Big T’s Processing, both of Woodhull.

JT Logging of Addison along with MSP CARQUEST in Elkland, Pa will return to sponsor the make-up of the September 28 event set for October 4, 2024.

On Friday night the Hometown Excavation Crate Sportsman will run for a winner’s check of $4,000. The Insinger Performance Modifieds will be on the agenda. NYPENN IMCA Modifieds will have their season point finale and the high dollar Sawyer’s RV and Camper Service Center Hobby Stock Big Bop/Allison Pierce Memorial will make it a four- card attraction.

Saturday finds Southern Tier Customs Street Stock 100, plus a regular show of Hobby Stocks and Quad C Mini Stocks.

The 600 cc Modifieds will now be part of the Saturday, October 5 show as the night will also include the 602 Crate Sportsman.

Should the Empire Crushing Crate Late Models be added to either night it will be posted on Facebook.
