Dennis Erb, Jr. Earns Pair of Top Fives at Fairbury; Jackson 100 Weekend Next

Story By: RYAN DELPH / DENNIS ERB RACING – CARPENTERSVILLE, IL – The Dennis Erb Racing team made their way to Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois on October 4-5 for the annual running of ‘FALS Frenzy,’ which was sanctioned by the MARS Racing Series.

On Friday night in the $5,000 to win weekend opener, Dennis Erb, Jr. laid down the quickest lap in Group B during qualifying, won his heat race, and later battled for the lead during the middle stage of the 40-lap feature. At the checkers, Dennis found himself in the fourth finishing position behind only winner Brian Shirley, Brandon Sheppard, and Jason Feger.

With a $12,000 payday up for grabs in Saturday’s finale, Dennis laid down the second quickest lap in Group A during time trials before securing another heat race triumph. After starting the 50-lapper from the outside of the front row, the Carpentersville, Illinois standout ultimately landed on the podium in third behind only victor Brian Shirley and runner-up Tanner English!

The #28 team will now turn their focus to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on October 11-12 for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles. Later tonight, a $10,000 top prize will be on the line in the ‘CJ Rayburn Memorial’ at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval. The 45th Annual ‘Jackson 100’ will then take center stage on Saturday evening, as a record $50,000 winner’s check will be awarded following the 100-lap headliner.
