Matt Westfall To Battle USAC National Sprint Cars’ Best In Upcoming Indiana Doubleheader

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / RAY MARSHALL MOTORSPORTS – FOREST, OH – Although an emotional past weekend, nonetheless, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports are mentally prepared to keep the season going, aiming big in an upcoming USAC National Sprint Cars Hoosier State doubleheader in visits to Bloomington Speedway and Tri-State Speedway on Friday and Saturday, April 14-15.

Westfall, who is currently tied for sixth in the USAC national championship, will ride on the coattails of recent success during the coming weekend, most recently finishing second in Paragon Speedway’s No Way Out 40 on Saturday, March 11. In addition, the Pleasant Hill, Ohio, native earned three consecutive USAC top-tens during early season action in Florida, finishing tenth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.

“A very emotional last few days for everyone. Our thoughts are with Justin Owen and his family,” Westfall said. “We’re very lucky to go out and do what we love week in and week out. We hope to go out and win one for Justin and his family this weekend in Indiana.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2023 agenda with a USAC National Sprint Cars doubleheader in the Hoosier State, first visiting Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Indiana, on Friday, April 14, followed by a stop at the always-exciting Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Saturday, April 15.
