Chris Andrews Looks Forward To Fresh Start During Upcoming Attica/Fremont Double

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / CHRIS ANDREWS RACING – SANDUSKY, OH – It was a competitive weekend in northwest Ohio for Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing, joining the Greatest Show On Dirt in an early season stop at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 19, followed by an Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) outing at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, May 20.

Two events translated into two A-Main starts for the Sandusky native, but despite succeeding in sound preliminary efforts, earning a row six starting position with the World of Outlaws, something was still amiss, settling with a 21st-place score in Attica’s program, followed by a 22nd-place outcome at Fremont.

Despite the pair of frustrating endings, Andrews’ weekend stat card had plenty of highlights, one being the fourth-fastest time in his respective group of World of Outlaws qualifying, followed by a third-place run during his respective heat race. At Fremont, Andrews was eighth-quick overall of 30 cars and raced on to finish fifth during heat race competition.

“We’re heading back to the drawing board this week. We have a gameplan in mind and we’re going to get to work right away,” Chris Andrews stated. “We had some speed in different places, but we needed to be stronger at the end of the night. We’ll get things turned around and test our plan this Friday when we head back to Attica.”

Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with another routine weekend in the Buckeye State, set to visit Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway in consecutive fashion on Friday and Saturday, May 26-27.
