Greg Wilson Eyes Western PA Tripleheader Of Races This Friday Through Sunday

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GREG WILSON RACING – BENTON RIDGE, OH – It was a tough weekend in southern Ohio for Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing, ultimately missing main event competition against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in their two-day invasion of Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio.

But despite the brief period of frustration, Wilson is ready to move on, setting aim on a Western Pennsylvania Speedweek triple on Friday through Sunday, June 2-4.

Wilson, driver of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics, No. W20 sprint car, will join Western Pennsylvania’s finest at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, and Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania, in consecutive fashion, chasing the $3,000 top prizes that will be up for grabs each night.

Although a relatively lackluster weekend with the Greatest Show On Dirt, Wilson will enter the Western PA Speedweek swing with three top-ten finishes to his credit, most recently scoring a runner-up performance during FAST Series action at Knox Raceway in Knox, Pennsylvania.

“Of course, it wasn’t the overall outcome we wanted with the Outlaws, but we’re excited to head east and see what we can do. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be at all three stops this weekend,” Wilson said. “Hats off to this team, my family, and all of our supporters. We’re one big family and I certainly wouldn’t be able to do any of this without them.

“With that said, we’re excited to represent Hercules Tires at Joe’s Tire in Barnesville, Ohio, on Friday,” Wilson added. “Joe’s Tire is celebrating their 20th anniversary as a Hercules Tires dealer and we’re proud to join them in their celebration. It starts at 10 a.m., so we invite everyone to come out and say hello.”
